The 55th edition of the Cairo International Book Fair was held from January 24th to February 6th, 2024, under the theme "Creating Knowledge... Preserving Words," at the Egypt International Exhibition Center in the Fifth Settlement, east of Cairo. This edition featured the participation of 1200 publishing houses from 70 Arab and foreign countries, distributed across five large halls covering an area of 80,000 square meters. Norway was honored at the fair, with the slogan "This is the Dream," reflecting the desire to witness agreements in this edition that would enhance efforts to directly translate Norwegian literature into Arabic and to further acquaint with Arab culture.
